At one time in our history, the USA was the guideline, the model, the thing the world aspired to. There was a time when the USA spoke and the world listened. These times are gone. Fewer and fewer countries want to hear, or even care, what the USA thinks.
The rest of the world is moving on and leaving the USA in the past.
