They have failed to protect the citizens of this country.

The 2nd Amendment does not have to be repealed. But, it needs to be amended. You can have all the guns you like in your home, so long as they are not on our streets. You have a right to protect yourself, your home, and your property. However, you should have no need for a gun outside of your home or property. You do not have the right to threaten citizens on the street.

Military weapons, automatic and semi-automatic, should be banned immediately. If you feel the need to fire these types of weapons, join the military.

Cops should not be allowed to carry guns on the street but could have them in their vehicles for protection if needed. Guns need to be visibly removed completely from our society.

You can keep the guns you presently own. You cannot carry them out on the streets, concealed or otherwise. People cannot be free if they do not feel secure.

That is my solution to the gun problem. There is no reason our elected representatives cannot govern to protect our citizens.
