Trump "complained that he had not gotten enough credit for his response" to shootings

Kyle Griffin
@kylegriffin1

"Trump expressed frustration to aides on Air Force One that news cameras were not with him in the hospital ... Trump has complained to allies since the shooting that he had not gotten enough credit for his response, according to these people."

For finding the most loathsome response imaginable. He never fails to descend to the lowest level.

he was in there laying hands on people, healing the sick, walking on filled bedpans, and feeding the multitudes with only ONE Big Mac.

No cameras. No pictures (or whatever pictures that were taken would be private and for the use and benefit of the people he took them with).

What would have helped him?

Privacy.

Even if he wasn't sincere (is he ever?), imagine if he went in to talk with people and not seek the spotlight or create a spectacle? Some small utterance, "Now is the time for grief and healing, and I'd like to listen to what these people have gone through and their experiences."

Humility.

But he's completely and utterly incapable of such things.

I long ago stopped waiting for a turning point with him or his more devoted followers, but yesterday does seem like some kind of negative milestone for him. We've a little over a year left before we can oust him. I hope yesterday sticks.

I expect awful out of him, so I am rarely surprised or fussed. It's all kind of baked into the shitcake.

But when I saw yesterday, I was like, "Holy f***ing shit! Really?!"

That was an interesting new level for him.

Whenever he is in a situation that requires genuine caring, or even a close facsimile, he will utterly fail because he does not possess the ability or inclination to see the world beyond how it can benefit him in the moment.

He thinks showing empathy or vulnerability is a weakness and against the image he's made for himself.

He's like some sort of perverse anti-Obama.

Has he even seen a replay of it??

Did his staff block the news media without telling him??

The families and friends were still planning funerals!

FFS, what did he want, a matching band and cheerleaders??
