Am I Wrong? But Trump seemed to have

an easy time in EL Paso and Daytona.. Protests were rather mild and small in both states... I feel the Dem politicians tried very hard to minimize any hard protests and blowback on Repubs and Trump.. The thought of him showing up really disgusted me..It seemed that it would be just another horrible event which Trump would take advantage of.. He did..(standing in front of the cameras and just throwing out bullshit as if he was Caesar)

Yea, we might find a whole set of new facts.. Now that he left the 2 cities..

Boomers were the best protestors. Once the mid 70’s hit, protesting was never the same.

Too many of them went over to the corporations and Wall Street.

The economy was pretty good and they were upwardly mobile and the middle class wasn’t suffering. In the 1990s Clinton paid off old bills and left a surplus when Bush was selected by the Supreme Court. Bush and Cheney declared they had a mandate and Cheney said deficits don’t count so they squandered the money Clinton left. Two “endless” wars against terrorism were declared and they were to be fought forever because everyone knows terrorism will always be with us. And the rich just got richer, because tax cuts.-

There’s more but I’m sure you know all about it.

Perhaps it is because Progressives have enough respect that they won't turn a somber event into a circus?

There is a time and a place. There is a valid argument that there should be more heated resistance but I am not sure this would have been the time to do it.

but it was a huge photo op for Trump. Avoided the protesters, mostly, by using side doors and back entrances.

Excluded the press so there would be no pushback on his claims of "how well it went."
