He is a throwback reactionary whose political philosophy is so conservative he often sounds like a member of The John Birch Society.

He is also a hypocrite. When he went on his little hike on the Appalachian Trial and was MIA for days on end, he demonstrated that he is not only cruel by publicly humiliating his wife, but also failed in his responsibility to his constituents.

My partner is really irritated by Matthews. I kind of get it. He does make some stupid comments and seems to fail at teleprompter and the show queues a lot.
