Without being unnecessarily hostile to the other side, sometimes one has to take a stand.

You see this at work in some other countries with similarly polarized electorates - and governed by trump-like figures.

Take last week's elections in Argentina:

The ruling, right-wing party (led by a longtime Trump friend, in fact) was given a drubbing - after spending four years weaponizing the judiciary against opponents and McCarthying them non-stop.

All the while, pro-government media kept calling on the opposition to "be responsible" - i.e. sit back and take it, while the president is steamrolling and railroading them.

Once the 2019 campaign season began, the opposition opted to campaign on Macri's own record: wild inflation, deep recession, a debt crisis, an IMF bailout, and a massive state-sponsored banking heist.

Macri's sole strategy was basically to red-herring his opponents as much as he could.

Ultimately, voters looked at the record - and gave the opposition (Beto Fernández) a 16% margin of victory. Macri may even resign before his term ends in December, such was the defeat.

The moral of the story is that, since these psuedo-fascist miscreants won't stop lying about progressives, we can't stop telling the truth about them.

Your chart is an excellent illustration of that.

The vast majority of Democratic AND Republican voters share common interests in terms of the need for affordable quality health care and education.

We and they have the same need for good jobs at a living wage, with fair treatment from our employers.

All Americans need to be safe from gun violence in schools, at public venues, and in our homes.

Every single person on this planet, if they care about their children and future generations, have strong reasons to protect our natural environment and to conserve the finite resources of Earth.

Sooner or later, more of the voters who've been conned will come to realize that the Republican Party does not serve any of those interests.
