Recently put out what he was saying is the first of many videos to re-introduce him to voters as he's now running for Senate after losing the Governorship and to answer charges that he's racist (because he is). It's the one where he has an obviously empty coffee cup. Anyway, during the required praising Trump/dumping on Obama part of the video, he included this picture as part of his criticism. I think it's pretty telling that it was. "Here's Obama standing up to the foreign leader that has made Trump his little bitch. HOW DARE HE?"

I really don't want to go off on a screed about our "heightist" society, but everyone is missing the point.

Yes, when it comes to Obama, the packaging is pretty. But what makes Obama the leader that he is has to do with his attributes as a person.

MLK Jr. talked about being judged by the content of one's character, not the color of one's skin. That could also include a person's height and weight.

Obama has character. He has intelligence. He has empathy and common sense and self-control. These are all things DT is lacking.

I don't claim to know very much about Angela Merkel, but she is short and dumpy and female. Has that stopped her from being an effective leader?

Putin's height may very well figure into his psychological make up, which guides his worldview. That is because of the way we value height and the characteristics we attribute to it.

I also don't think that Obama coming out of the Southside of Chicago makes him tougher. Alluding to that strays into the "Scary Black Guy" trope.

I apologize if I sound like a scolding school marm, now. I just think that it is important to try and rise up to the level of a fine person like Obama in our thinking and view of the world and how we handle political discourse. That is the best way to honor his legacy.
