This Isnt the Madman Theory. This Is a Madman President.
In business, Trump could paper over his bankruptcies, flops, asinine remarks, and failed cons. The presidency is different.

The recognition that Donald J. TrumpPresident of the United States, Commander in Chief of the U.S. armed forces, leader of the Republican Party and now King of Israel and Chosen Oneis, to use the psychiatric term of art, batshit crazy is dawning even on the slowest members of society. Also, that theres not a damn thing we can do about it until November of 2020.
The big cons of the first term havent just been embarrassing flops but concatenating failures putting our economy and security at existential risk. The tax bill blew out the debt and deficit to unimaginable depths. North Koreas serial humiliation of Trump proved to Kim Jong Un that he could pants the President of the United States and move the DPRK closer to full nuclear capabilities to threaten our allies and even our own shores.
The cruel nostalgia of Trumps promises to restore coal, steel, and auto jobs are shattered on the altar of President Bigly Negotiator's moronic shitshow of an unwinnable trade war. The fact that he was spanked by Denmark, a country the size of Delaware, after his absurd Buy Greenland campaign was just one more humiliation of a President who clearly likes having his ass handed to him by bijou nations.
The Trump campaign and the early days of his administration were marked by the charming window when most of his supportersand frankly, much of the mainstream mediabelieved that the vomitus spraying out of Trump's mouth was part of some clever psychological game, quantum chess to own the libs.
Only idiots and zealots believe that now. The howling vacuum of need within Trump's soul had already distorted every normal human emotion for decades, but now the stress of the presidency and the realities of his lasting failures have pushed him closer to a very public mental breakdown. In business, Trump could paper over his bankruptcies, flops, asinine remarks, and failed cons.

(70,561 posts)Such as Trump/Ryan's tax cut which blew up the deficit, is a hammer to the economy,
didn't create more jobs and or income but instead was used by the CEOs to buy back their
own stock and now we are looking @ an economic crash.
All the job growth from 2018 to 2019 from the US Labor Departmet was false government propaganda

U.S. created 500,000 fewer jobs since 2018 than previously reported, new figures show
Looking for help? Retail stores arent hiring a lot of people these days as online rivals eat into sales. The U.S. government on Wednesday said the economy added 501,000 fewer jobs than initially reported.
Turns out hiring wasnt nearly as strong in 2018 and early 2019 as the government initially reported by about a half-million jobs.

(4,341 posts)If hard, solid proof is provided I don't think even the Senate will be able to refuse impeachment.
I understand that the rules of impeachment demand the Senate act as a juror and keep political influences out of their deliberations, which the republicans will not do, but nonetheless, if solid proof is provided to the senate and the country where treason, obstruction of justice cannot be debated against, that will put the senate in a precarious situation.
But most important for Democrats it is to prove that crimes and misdemeanors were committed by the creature, that the entire country understands that the creature acted in a treasonous and in bad faith against its citizens, that he committed emolument crimes, that he conspired with the Russians, and I don't see that even republicans could refuse to impeach.
We have seen how hard it has been for Moscow-Mitch with his new alias, and the same should be done to the rest of the republicans.
By the way, as the creature calls Biden, Warren, etc. names, we should too start the "Lying-Donald" meme, I don't know why it hasn't happened already. Instead of calling him "president", Democrats should always refer to him as "Lying-Donald".

(4,341 posts)I don't know anyone with some sense who gave any credit to the creature as "a great strategy" against the Democrats. Anyone who can read a book, actually, anyone who can read a full article knew the creature is demented, that now they are starting to accept it because, as expected, things are getting out of hand is another issue.
Same as when people who refuse to accept the inevitable and then BOOM! (It Can't Happen Here!), it hits them and suddenly, but late, realize that the truth was in from of them all the time.
The media must be accounted for a good part of this chaos, they gave the creature the platform for free because they were making money, and they continued to play the game ignoring the treasonous actions they were committing, and continue to do so today. Any time I see Chuck Todd on the TV I want to throw up, I do change the channel immediately to avoid it, but people like that need to be made accountable.
The mighty dollar is going to be the decline of the USA Empire, it is amazing that we don't learn from history. I don't know if in law school, and those careers that prepare students for politics, if they teach about the collapse of the Roman empire, if they don't it should be mandatory reading because the same excesses the Romans committed are being done here. We have grown too big in our heads, the "American Exceptionalism" is a farce, but the citizens have eaten it up because it makes them feel good, it inflates their chests, while failing to understand that it is a complete lie.
I would say "God save the USA" but I don't believe in that, I believe we need to talk to family and friends in a way they can understand, with facts, that as a country we are moving towards a very difficult situation. The Germans had the USA and other countries to help them reconstruct after WW2, I don't see that happening here, we will be left alone, and some countries will rejoice in our decline.
