This is what I was thinking. He was with them 12 hrs a day. Surely they would have been concerned/noticed if he showed any signs of despondency or suicidal thoughts.

A defense lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday expressed deep skepticism that the wealthy financier died by hanging himself in a Manhattan federal jail while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges, as a medical examiner has ruled.
The injuries suffered by Epstein are far more consistent with assault than suicide, the lawyer, Reid Weingarten, told Judge Richard Berman in U.S. District Court in Manhattan during a hearing.
Weingarten cited the defenses own medical sources. Broken bones were found in Epsteins neck during an autopsy after he died Aug. 10.

I wasn't satisfied with the answers and I posted again on August 11th and the answers I got were even more disappointing. Here is the link to that post: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100212370154

(62,444 posts)Did you bother to catch any of the testimony of the victims the other day?

(25,270 posts)Yes - I did catch the victims testimony the other day. And they are denied being able to confront Epstein and they might get no closure from the crimes that he committed along with those so-called men that he played to.
Where I'm at is that if he didn't commit suicide and was offed by someone - we should know that. As if he was offed by someone - those that did the offing are just as guilty as Epstein.
Yes - it is the lawyers job to serve their client. And Epstein needed his day in court to have a jury of his peers determine whether he was guilty or not. We'll not be able to see that happen now.
But his lawyers were close to him during his time in this jail and they knew best Epstein's state of mind. They are now questioning whether it was suicide or not. We should be questioning that as well.
I'm not satisfied by what I've heard in the press regarding the details surrounding Epstein's death. To many convenient happenings surrounding it.
So I'm still questioning it. I have a right to my opinion.
