...Who made that gap? What was erased? Ok, when that was exposed there was all kinds of talk about it. But the bottom line was, that there was a gap in the tape. Who had access to the tape?. Well we know who would have access to the tape. Don't we? We also have reason to believe that there was something important on that tape, and someone erased it. But we found out the whole story about the crooked Nixon Administration, without knowing who erased the tape. It was important to know that there was a gap, but in the end it didn't matter.
....Who altered the map? Who ordered it to be altered? Don't know yet.
... Why? We already know why? How, it was a black Sharpie? or something like that. When? Probably right before the press conference. Why Alabama? We know that too.

Whoever altered the map, opened a door that needed to be kept closed. It is now open, and I think this could justify the impeachment to come. Why? Everyone understands an altered map, and why it might have been altered. We all understand that....Just like we understand the 15 minute gap in the Watergate Tape.

There is an important election coming up in Alabama. I assume he wanted to later brag to the people of Alabama how he helped them during the Great Hurricane?

He is always one lie ahead of himself.

Trump ordered NOAA or NWS, whoever originally prepared the map, to revise it to his specifications that included portions of Alabama to cover for his mistake in the tweet. They refused, as they were not going to destroy their credibility or break the law. Thus Trump himself pulled out his Sharpie or ordered one of his flunkies to alter the map. I think he did it himself though.

But, while trawling #SharpieGate for funny images I came across a tweet that said the exact same time/dated map had earlier been on the Whitehouse website, minus the black marking over Alabama.

I doubt whether even trump could order NOAA to alter their maps to suit his ramblings.

Many people can not afford to run out and buy hurricane supplies. Saying you are in the path of a hurricane incites the population. trump has conditioned his followers to only believe him. This stunt will have little impact on them.

What people do when they are told they are in a hurricane's path

fill their cars up with gas, buy plywood, canned goods & water, maybe buy a generator, get as much cash as they can, make evacuation plans if needed. There is no need to buy paper towels. They know trump will toss out a few rolls to those he deems worthy enough.
