NOAA draws backlash

BY ZACK BUDRYK - 09/07/19 12:02 PM EDT

... Monica Medina, who worked as NOAA’s general counsel, tweeted Friday, “As a former @NOAA leader I can say two things with certainty. No NOAA Administrator I worked for would have done this. And I would have quit if I had been directed to agree to let this BS go out” ...

Dan Sobien, head of the National Weather Service Employees Organization, which represents thousands of workers under NOAA, said federal workers were "shocked, stunned and irate" with NOAA siding with Trump ...

“The tweet from NWS Birmingham was spot on and accurate," Birmingham-based meteorologist James Spann Jr. tweeted. "If they are coming after them, they might as well come after me. How in the world has it come to this?” ...

Meteorologist Ryan Maue, meanwhile, accused NOAA of “throwing your ‘Alabama’ NWS office under the bus,” adding that there was “nothing wrong” with the Birmingham NWS’s tweet ...

If I lived in an area where the weather can kill me, even if only occasionally I would have doubts about believing them.

That’s not good.

Sure - this has happened before but never on this scale and with this blatant shove-it attitude.

Perry in charge of the Energy Department (he couldn't remember its name on the campaign trail.)

Dimwit in charge of HUD (apparently had his brain operated on a bit too drastically.)

Jarvanka in charge of cough-cough "middle-east peace". It's hard to come up with a snide comment on these moronic relatives of the Big Moron having anything to do with anything, other than grifting.

Every single appointee is obviously a poke in the eye to democracy and normal government.

Kudos, putine and koch-likes.

Every appointee has the goal of replacing government agencies for the people with for-profit private companies. Of course, they still plan to use our tax dollars to run their companies. They'll deny services to anybody unprofitable and pocket millions.

They want to replace the NWS with a for-profit company that is focused on protecting rich people's properties. The U.S. Mail will be replaced with a for-profit company that doesn't deliver to rural or inconvenient addresses. And so on.

This is the goal.

I have never met a person who can turn sh*it into gold, but here we have a prime magician, a really stable genius, who's prime ability seems to be to be able to turn everything he touches into unadulterated sh*t. What a special, magical talent!!!
