My best guess as to what happened:

1. Trump called Zelensky, threatened to cut off aid for Ukraine if he didn’t get dirt on Biden.

2. Zelensky told Trump to go Cheney himself.

3. Feeling slighted, Trump calls Putin and tells him there will be no repercussions if Russia escalates its military activity in Eastern Ukraine.

Only a guess but I think that is what may have gone down.

of involving 2 world leaders instead of just one.

I've never been a CT type but with today's politics and the WH squatter's administration of the criminally insane there is little that would surprise me.

Maybe the promise of more aid if he wins in 2020?

It's hard, though, to tell one from the other with Trumpsky.

$250M. Which was finally given to Ukraine when Congress sent letter to DNI requesting copy of whistle blowers complaint.

Shady.

And it also fits with the mention of "multiple" incidents.
It also would be completely in character for MF45 The Insecure.

16. Trump told him that indirectly

1) Trump sent Giuliani to Madrid to tell Ukraine to investigate Biden's son

2) Giuliani told the aid in Madrid not just to investigate Biden's son, but also to investigate a trumped up allegation that the Democrat's colluded with Ukraine over the Manafort investigation (as if Manafort wasn't guilty to begin with).

3) Trump withholds aid that's vital to Ukraine and tells them they could improve their position if they completed their "investigation".

We already know all of those things. So what Trump has done, indirectly is tell Ukraine they had better manufacture some dirt on his political enemies, or they won't get their aid. The aid was only released AFTER Trump knew the story was going to break wide open.
