It was soon after the July 25 Ukraine call -- and before military aid to Ukraine was restored -- that Trump started advocating for Russia to rejoin the G7.

(61,695 posts)If Ukraine play ball then trump would have an easier time in the general election with Joe Biden. If Ukraine refused to help trump, then aggression from Putin into Ukraine would be easier, and Putin would have Trump to thank by helping him win in 2020.
