Trump, the TV president, finally meets a media story he can't control

Washington Post

Donald Trump’s presidency would have been impossible without his reality-TV fame from NBC’s “The Apprentice.”

And he is skilled at dominating the visual medium that still matters so much — even in our digital age — from his raucous rallies to his impromptu media gaggles outside a whirring helicopter to his symbiotic relationship with Fox News.

But not this week.

In a tectonic shift of media attention, every major television network — broadcast and cable alike — focused on a deeply damaging story that Trump can’t control.

Feels good.

I have always found him creepily unattractive with a voice that gives me the willies. How the guy ever made it in the television medium baffles me to no end.

The entire appeal of his asinine TV show was the tagline "You're Fired"...it was fake TV with a fake businessman being sold to the public as "reality TV" and the nation (at least the rubberneckers of the world who LOOK for others' misery) lapped it up like manna from heaven.

We live in a profoundly sick society and anyone who paid attention to Trump's voters could see that things like kids in cages is a natural extension of satisfying their blood lust and desire to celebrate the pain of others. These reptilian scum are the MAGAts and ones cheering and chanting "Send them back! / Lock her up! / etc."

Why he was never tied up with an anvil chained around his neck and dumped into the East River from all the contractors he's screwed over the years. And how he managed to co-exist with all the mafiosi involved in NYC construction back when trump was a so called "real estate tycoon".
