Romney Convention Bounce killed by actually seeing Romney

In the Reuters 4-day rolling average tracking poll Mitt took a 2-point lead on Thursday, the day of his acceptance speech.

But waiting in line for the Mitt ride seems to be more exciting than the ride itself. The day after Mitt's speech he was up only one. The second day after the speech Obama had regained the lead by a point.

There really is something about Mittens that makes you not want to see him, and actually seeing him makes you feel worse.

""This wasn't a lightning bolt convention," Ipsos pollster Julia Clark said. "Comparatively speaking, this was a more muted convention in general ... So it doesn't surprise me that (the bump in polls) wasn't a great deal bigger."
