are making progress...we are a GM family so fingers crossed...hubs will lose his job if this continues (management). We are hopeful.

1) auto sales were down in the 1st half of 2019 and are projected to be down in the 2nd half.
2) the lifecycle of vehicles is significantly longer than it was a decade ago (or even 5 years ago).
3) plant automation - with the improvements in AI and machine learning will accelerate plant automation.

these 3 things are applying downward pressure on the need for the tradition blue collar autoworker. Automakers know this and are going to act accordingly.
