PCIP was avaliable to HER had she KNOWN that Florida would have to cover for her.

I think the family should sue the hell out of Rick Scott and make sure his net income is zero by the time he's done as a pathetic Governor, and owing that family another 200 million more.

I read this on CNN earlier and hoped it would be posted here. Very sad story. Thanks for posting.

But because the fucking MEDIA has spent so much time and energy attacking the plan, doing "he said, she said" instead of actually educating people on what's available, more lives could be saved, and more families would not be losing their homes because of medical bills.

The media has failed us. They covered the "town halls" that were filled with insurance industry goons, as though healthcare for all was evil. Instead of providing a public service by letting people know how it works, they spend hours using it was a wedge as they breathlessly report all the horrible things the repukes said about it.

I also blame the governors of the States who KNOW that they have these high risk pools now, for fighting the ACA, and for doing a blackout on information. The States should be doing PSAs informing people of their rights now under the interim plan. The folks at Medicaid should be telling them this. But they're not.
