I don't hate all Republicans; just the ones who continue to serve in the Trump regime, attend his rallies, plan to vote for him in 2020 and wear those dumbass MAGA caps. It's just those that I despise. The other 17 are ok.
Trump's "presidency" is totally illegitimate---period. In a just world, he would be impeached, convicted, removed from office and then prosecuted for his many crimes. Just the ones he has foolishly/arrogantly admitted should insure that he dies in prison. All his appointments, definitely including judges, should be declared void and the positions considered vacant.
His assets and those of his many businesses should be forfeited to the US Treasury as partial restitution for his grifting profits and payment for the damage he has inflicted on our nation.
ANYONE who assisted Trump in his rape of our democratic government should---at least--- be replaced by the voters and some of them should likely join him in prison. Lookin' at YOU McConnell, Giuliani, Barr, Pompeo, Mnuchin and Miller!
And, as I've stated before, I don't "hate Trump more than I love my country" as some of you say. I hate him BECAUSE I love my country.
Questions?

It will take a deep cleaning and I'm not sure the Democrats are into vermin extermination.
Also, don't bank on the treasury getting much from the dump enterprises when they are rolled up. Bunch of very foetid old farts.

(16,975 posts)A relative recently began therapy for a traumatic past. She has seen the therapist several times. The last appt. the therapist asked her why she was stressed and she said trump is a lunatic. The therapist got pissed off at her, and they had a fight. She didn't know what his politics were, but unfortunately, as fas as I'm concerned, the therapist was unprofessional. My relative saw her counselor, who is sending her to a different therapist, and also gave her the grievance director's phone number.
I just can't believe the therapist had a meltdown with a patient. Over trump.

(22,692 posts)I suspect that some of Libertarians and other "independent" voters are angry enough at themselves to be looking for scapegoats to take it out on. Definitely unprofessional. It's sad when your counselors need counseling. But here we are.

(12,429 posts)I feel like there are so many things we can't discuss with people because they are still in Trump's thrall. And at this stage, with all the skullduggery that's still going on, right out in public, with the Republicans, it's time to start speaking freely about this ongoing attack on our Constitution and human decency. I feel like I we're restrained from telling people the house is on fire because we mustn't upset the kid that played with matches. Maybe, just maybe, if we started speaking out to our captive friends and family, it might shake them out of their dream. And if we don't, they may never wake up.

(36,095 posts)To them it isn't about whether we hate them, their leader or our country.
They want their view of our country to win, at any cost, even if it costs the country, which it already has.
I like the restitution idea, but to make that happen he's got to be voted out by the Senate. Only when the harm's been declared can suits for restitution begin. Maybe. We'd have to consult lawyers, or not-Bar AG's since restitution to the U.S. Treasury doesn't translate automatically to restitution for the country. A Big Law team would have to be stipulate restitution through proven harm to the country, and represent proof of such in courts.
It's a good idea complicated by reality of who would press for restitution and which court(s) decides.
