Well, "religious" "leaders," actually.
Here's what I think about them.
I think that when a Democrat is elected, that new Democratic president should direct the IRS to investigate those "religious" "leaders," and their "churches." And if the IRS finds that they have crossed the boundary into the political arena, then they should have their tax-exempt status revoked. Don't care if it's mainstream Christians, evangelical nutbags, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, whatever. No exemption.

A bunch of religious people are liberals and Democrats, plenty of others progressive conservatives. How can it be otherwise when so much of the lives of so many are devoted to progressive good?
Black people, and Muslims, and wypipo and libtards and rw nutjobs who speak out are welcome to do so, as long as they don't do so in religious institutions. But once religious leaders, and their followers, use their religious institutions to pursue political objectives, they get taxed. Look, I'm not a lawyer or a tax expert. And I realize this has to be fine tuned, and that it has political percussions, but it has to be done, IMHO.
