Congress must not back down from our duty to defend the Constitution as @realDonaldTrump ignores the Founders warnings about foreign interference at every turn. #TruthExposed

(5,754 posts)what quid pro quo means. It would be great to find a way to help them understand. Maybe by saying "what pro quo did he get for that quid"? Pelosi has a way with words. She should find an expression that will stick.

(15,235 posts)Your subtle reply went right over my head; but the Latin, legalese phrase applies to the Opening Post, because we both gave it something - publicity!
For anyone unfamiliar with the phrase:
Quid pro quo ("something for something" in Latin) is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; "a favor for a favor."
As for Pelosi and other Democrats I think they should focus newsworthy comments about Trump on income tax returns and related bank documents, like a horde of Obama Birthers, demanding to see a REAL Presidents birth certificate one more time!
Taking more - in front of media - about OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE - might also be an effective strategy!

(11,885 posts)Should be fully exposed, and looked into. This is his pattern , bribe, threats, blackmail, and extort others to get what he wants, or else. He's a crook , and like Nixon will be removed from office, or try to escape with a sweetheart deal escaping justice. He's publicly admitting he's a criminal, and daring anyone to stop him now, and using Barr to provide protection from receiving justice from it. Barr will go to prison for all he's done.

(2,275 posts)We've spent a lot of hot air on what deals the Republicans have made with the Russians.... but I've seen very little commentary on what Trump may have promised (besides the promise of NOT tweeting about them)

(9,263 posts)election season starts rolling. Start questioning the GOP incumbent on what benefit has he gotten from russia? Its down, its dirty and its a war to save our country.

(21,408 posts)keep the pressure on Trump Speaker Pelosi. Call more press conferences don't just Tweet. Trump is unraveling he will make more mistakes, he is one big snowflake, he is no tough guy, he needs constant praise and adoration.
Good job Speaker Pelosi, keep bringing it.

ZTE, a company involved in hacking American cyber security.
A $500 million loan to Trump related projects works wonders to make America protect Chinese jobs.
Too bad our coal miners did not think of that.

(7,434 posts)Pelosi must engineer a process in which the general public must be exposed to Trumpy's gross criminality. She must pursue the "turning of the worm" that is moved by over 300 million people. That's a hefty task. So we should expect a slow moving sentiment toward rejection of Trumpy. In the meantime, Trumpy is dictator. He's a dictator until he's gone. There is no middle ground with him. He will NOT modify his behavior toward a more "democratic" MO. He will get worse. And he is getting worse.

(5,815 posts)But this morning, in the sunlight, it had an especially light appearance....like a fresh bleaching. It was almost clear in places. His poor real hair must be a fright when he wakes up each morning....assuming he has slept. I wish some WH staff person (their upstairs household staff) could get a candid shot of him before he gets dressed. We think weve seen unflattering pictures of him up to now? THAT would be pure comedic gold. Preferably him running around in his tightly-whities.
