The Trump administration will deny visas to uninsured, low-income immigrants

President Donald Trump issued a proclamation Friday night barring immigrants who do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay medical care costs from getting visas of almost any kind to enter the US....

Trump said the move is a means of cutting costs to American citizens, who he said pay higher taxes, premiums and medical costs to cover hospital fees for those who cannot afford care....

The proclamation comes after nearly all of the Democratic presidential candidates have backed the idea of providing unauthorized immigrants healthcare coverage. Every candidate raised their hands when asked if they supported it at a debate in June....

“As long as I’m president, no one will lay a hand on your Medicare benefits,” Trump told voters at a speech in Florida on Thursday. “I will never allow these politicians to steal your health care and give it away to illegal immigrants.”

that pretty much no immigrants have health care when they arrive here. Unless they are already employed by a company that offers health care benefits.

Trump's statement is just his typical decoy. His EO will hurt Medicare, so he makes poor immigrants the whipping people to deflect from his policy intentions.

Fortunately the Press has finally started to pay attention to people that study Trump's actions and warn people. His EO is already getting bad Press, that is a definite change from what used to happen.

On immigrants. Trump's language just insures that people will come here illegally for work and stay under cover, making them ripe for all types of abuse from employers and others. And if those immigrants get seriously hurt, they will get medical attention. By not figuring out how to get immigrants medical care, Trump is actually increasing costs for Americans due to people getting treated, not being able to pay for the treatment and insurance not being available to pay.

And the means test -- that's unlawful b/c of the discrimination.
