(31,261 posts)Trump's statement is just his typical decoy. His EO will hurt Medicare, so he makes poor immigrants the whipping people to deflect from his policy intentions.
Fortunately the Press has finally started to pay attention to people that study Trump's actions and warn people. His EO is already getting bad Press, that is a definite change from what used to happen.
On immigrants. Trump's language just insures that people will come here illegally for work and stay under cover, making them ripe for all types of abuse from employers and others. And if those immigrants get seriously hurt, they will get medical attention. By not figuring out how to get immigrants medical care, Trump is actually increasing costs for Americans due to people getting treated, not being able to pay for the treatment and insurance not being available to pay.
