The House Impeachment Probe Just Made A Move On Mike Pence

The chairmen gave the vice president just about 10 days to turn over the documents, “Pursuant to the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry, we are hereby requesting that you produce the documents set forth in the accompanying schedule by October 15, 2019.”

Pence is in hot water. He is not going to be able to play dumb and avoid the fray. Trump is the one who brought up Pence’s involvement in the scandal when he told the media that the impeachment investigation to look at Pence’s phone calls. Since Trump’s comments, it has been confirmed that the vice president was involved in Trump’s pressure campaign to get Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden.

Even if these criminals don't even make it to 2020, their election "winning" night of a couple million in the red still got us two far right fuck face theocratics on the court. The damage these people have done will be hard to overcome. Imagine if Justice RBG decided to step aside or if her health didn't allow her to keep at it? Now you get 5 fascists and one far right Conservative on the court. Still stacks up 6-3 against us...

DESPITE the Republicans winning ONE SINGLE popular vote in presidential elections since 1988.

Not by a long shot...

Over time a code of laws was developed requiring certain interactions to be documented. So, the requests are actually demands to turn over what the law says must be there. There is the catch 22 of the requirements that the documents must exist, because, if they don't, that in itself is breaking the law and is evidence of obstruction.

Sometimes you've got to admire the byzantine workings of the bureaucracy.

They're only asking for what they know has to be there.

It's his poison pill to the Republicans in Congress - if he drags Pence down with him, they can't vote to remove him because Nancy Pelosi is next in line to the presidency, and he knows they would never, ever let that happen under any circumstances.

I could see Trump providing the drama it would just be wonderful. I’m sorry Nancy but an evil part of me would love to see this happen. After living through 3 years of anger and poor sleep I want Republican pain.
