The Attorney General of the United States is traveling the world, pressuring leaders to fabricate info that undermines our own intelligence service findings that russia interfered in the 2016 election.
William Barr met Ms Patel, the Home Secretary, in London shortly after she got the role while both attended a conference for the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance.
They met on July 29 - just days after Mr Trump had reportedly urged Boris Johnson to help with the investigation, which is looking at how the probe into Mr Trump's Kremlin links had begun.

(16,616 posts)Since we know how the investigation into Trump/Kremlin began, Barr can only be coercing these countries into concocting fake evidence.

(9,287 posts)Ireland's Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has challenged remarks made by new Home Secretary Priti Patel threatening food shortages in Ireland if it does not comply with Brexit proposals.
He responded that her suggestions the UK Government should threaten Ireland, which was devastated by famine in the 1800s, with food shortages if it does not drop demands for a backstop.
Mr Varadkar reminded the minister of the starvation that swept across the country in the 19th century and said he hoped the new minister would think more carefully about what she said in the future.

MF45s right wing trade policy toward the Republic was revealed when the US put tariffs on Irish Agricultural products. Ireland is part of the EU and MF45 wishes to carry out his masters orders(Putin) to smash the EU.
Patel is a particular odious person who wants to starve the Irish people into submission.

(70,516 posts)Barr was brought in to stop Mueller's investigations and to hide his report too.
Barr played fast and loose with Mueller when he stopped him before he could
issue any charging statements and then said he would redact from the report
anybody who was not charged. And the Trump White House did not provide
Mueller's team w/all of the information they asked for too. Such information
as the Trump/Russia White House meeting in 2017 where Trump laughed about
Russia's interference in the 2016 election and then said he knew about "it" and
he didn't care about "it."

TRUMPS RUSSIA COVER-UP BY THE NUMBERS 272 CONTACTS WITH RUSSIA-LINKED OPERATIVES
On April 18, 2019, a redacted copy of Special Counsel Robert Muellers Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election (Mueller Report) was released to the public. The Mueller report builds on the U.S. intelligence communitys conclusion that there were two campaigns to elect Donald Trump one run by Trump and one run by the Russian government. The Mueller report clearly identified collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, despite repeated denials from Trump and many of his senior advisers and close associates that there were any connections between the two campaigns.
A total of 272 contacts between Trumps team and Russia-linked operatives have been identified, including at least 38 meetings. And we know that at least 33 high-ranking campaign officials and Trump advisers were aware of contacts with Russia-linked operatives during the campaign and transition, including Trump himself. None of these contacts were ever reported to the proper authorities. Instead, the Trump team tried to cover up every single one of them.
Beyond the many lies the Trump team told to the American people, Mueller himself repeatedly remarked on how far the Trump team was willing to go to hide their Russian contacts, stating, the investigation established that several individuals affiliated with the Trump Campaign lied to the Office, and to Congress, about their interactions with Russian-affiliated individuals and related matters. Those lies materially impaired the investigation of Russian election interference.

(790 posts)Trump & co have largely surmounted the difficulties of Mueller's investigation. But Putin, not so much. If his boy Trump can get an official US government stamp of approval to the claim that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 US elections, he can get those sanctions gone, and happy days again, rubles flowing back through oligarchic hands.
I think that's how a spymaster works -- find ways to couple your interests with those of your useful idiot's. So in all the self-serving crap that the POS POTUS does, look for how it serves Pooty-Poot.
Since there are no visible benefits to Barr or Pompeo for their roles in engaging this charade, other spy-craft methods are likely involved. I wonder if we'll ever hear what the kompromat on Barr is...
Is there any country that Chump didn't hit up for "help"?
