Much of the success they will have revolves around loyalty. We have jumped the guardrails when it comes to arguing facts, law or truth when it comes to the devotion and loyalty of his followers, be they ordinary people or political figures.
It is almost a waste of time to argue with people who have, in one way or another, pledged their allegiance to Trump and those in the GOP who refuse to honor and respect their oath of office and uphold the law of the land as spelled out in the Constitution.
What is do a mobster and an authoritarian, Fascist dictator have in common? Loyalty first and foremost, above and beyond anything else. That kind of blind allegiance to a personage can make people feel they are sacrificing things for a cause rather than losing the shirt off their backs. That's one of the reasons this does not seem to make sense to us; we are not factoring that in and it is the most important issue and pivotal to how this goes.
With that in mind, how do you deal with that kind of loyalty, especially when it can foment and support a seditious view and behavior that threatens our whole system right now?
That's the place to focus and what to think about and strategize on. The rest is academic and hopefully, we can return to that kind of basis soon.
