Boorish, Mean, Angry, Prejudiced People Finally Got Their Own President.

That's the bottom line of Trump's pervasive support by some 30% of the population. They like him because they are like him, and they've never had a President like themselves before. Trump shares their attitudes about many things, along with their dislike of anyone who is not like them.

They don't want to give that up. They're going to hang onto it just as long as they can, and they're going to be vocal and insistent about it. You cannot change their minds, because you cannot change who they are and how they see things, which is dimly, at best.

Trump knows this and appeals to the baser nature of his supporters regularly. He works to reinforce the bond he has with them, deliberately and persistently. He knows that he needn't express the truth to keep their support. He only has to reinforce their long-held prejudices and beliefs.

It's up to the rest of us to take away their President. They won't like that, but have no means to do anything about it, really. If you're not like Trump, please help to get him out of office. He's dangerous, because he's just like others who are dangerous because of their hatred, prejudice and deliberate ignorance.
