The problem is that following the law is limiting. There's only so much you are allowed to do.

The law is enforced by AG Barr, who is owned by Trump, and who also believes that the president is above the law.
He wrote a paper long ago about this.

Anything the Democrats do outside the law will immediately bring down legal enforcement.
Anything Trump does outside the law will be ignored and even supported by Barr.

So Trump is able to do any illegal act without fear of any legal consequences or being convicted by the Senate so in essence he is above the law.

The laws that Democrats are constrained with are nearly useless against Trump.

The only hardball that can be played is in the hands of Senate Republicans.
The fate of the nation resides with them.

the Dems need any more evidence and Trump and company will continue to control the narrative. If the voters haven't figured out who is the bad guy by now then they never will. I say impeach ASAP and then start talking about 2020. In the meantime Trump continues to push the roght-wing agenda on a daily basis simply because he could care less what the Dems think. When he said he could literally shoot someone in Times Square and his base wouldn't care - he was obviously correct.
