Republican Senator Confronted Trump About Quid Pro Quo Ukraine Shakedown

From the article:

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) confronted Trump in August by phone after he heard about the president pulling a quid pro quo shakedown on Ukraine.
According to The Wall Street Journal:
In an interview, Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) said he learned of a potential quid pro quo from the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, who told him that aid to Ukraine was tied to the desire by Mr. Trump and his allies to have Kyiv undertake investigations that the president has sought.

Ernst, Romney, Collins, Kinzinger, and now Johnson. Are these the first tremors in the coming earthquake?

It seems that the chickens are sticking their heads out of the coop and a few have jumped over the moot.

And Trump will then have another target. If enough GOP members find some courage, Trump will have too many enemies to deal with.

We may see an avalanche effect.

Then I read he had retracted it or tried to alter the disclosure. Someone must have given him the heads up that this was not helpful to Trump's cause:

Oh yeah, I knew about the quid pro quo. Sondland told me all about it.

LOL. How dumb can you get???

If you knew this in August did you tell anyone that you had knowledge that the president committed a crime?

I wonder who else knew this was going on? I bet a lot of elected Republicans had knowledge about this and sat on it.

We should rename Republicans "The Coverups"

13. he also said that trump denied it

In the report I read, Johnson said that after he heard a rumor about it, he called Trump on the phone to ask about it, and that Trump flatly denied it, which (in Johnson's mind) shows that it isn't true.

In other words, Johnson said that he heard the rumor but then determined that it's false.
