Just had to agree with you. I love Betty White. I'm not sure whether it would be a good idea or not, but how could anyone not just adore her?

since I saw her in a musical as a kid (she had a glorious voice) and thought "she needs to be doing comedy!"

However, going to speak before a political convention might be a bit of an ordeal for her. She is, sadly, getting on in years along with the rest of us.

I think she is still physically capable of doing the convention, but from a political perspective it would be a bad idea as it would look like we were attacking Eastwood because of his age. You can get by with that on Saturday Night Live, you can't get by with that type of humor at a political convention. I would love to see her make a guest appearance on SNL though.

whippersnapper of 64 were to speak at the DNC in a way that seemed to mock Eastwood, it would be attacking him because of his age. But Betty White? Nope. She has eight years on him, so as far as I'm concerned, that makes him fair game for her.
