I wish I had the at schedule. By 12:30 I have already done the following with my PBS students
1. Breakfast
2. Current Events (CNN Student News)
3 had at least one chair thrown at me
4. have been called a bitch at least 3x

6. Have been told that this (math, reading, science or other) is fucking stupid
7. guided my students through 4-6 pages in their workbook
8. Read at least one chapter to my students stopping for comprehension questions and guessing what will happen next
9. Done some sort of science project
10. protecting the other students when one of the 6 has a major meltdown ripping things off the walls, banging head on doors or desks flipping over said desks
11. Called the counselor and nurse to do a smell check on one boy who shits his pants and sits, walks in it until we catch him (at least 3 times a week)
12. kept each student from calling the other 5 names in a rotating basis
13. taken my sexual predator to the RR by himself 3 times after making sure no one else is in the bathroom
14. Turn them over to the other PBS teacher so I can have my plan period and lunch.
15. At 12:30 I pick up my students and take them to lunch.
OH and these are 6th graders. All have issues ranging from ADHD to Emotionally Disturbed.
These students need education but their behaviors hinder that every day

(31,997 posts)today though no one shit their pants and no one had a meltdown
there were still numerous fuck yous and other names called BUT not directed towards me -at least today=
however, one student in the other classroom looked up dick, penis, Johnson and tits during his computer time while he was supposed to be doing online math.

(1,325 posts)You are eminently qualified to serve as Chief of Staff in the White House. Same behavioral issues, except the pay is better and you don't have to start working until noon! Good luck!

(34,170 posts)Positive Behavior Support.
The students that are on self-contained because of their behavior=yelling, screaming, cussing, throwing things, potential to get very physical, kids walking in to wrong bathrooms or when others are in there to pull on what ever sticks out. Kids that throw desks to avoid doing easy math activities like subtraction without a calculator. Throw chairs at adults because they are annoying when they are told to work.
Most are ADHD, some are Autistic, Some are Emotionally disturbed. One spent most of last year in an institution, several I am pretty sure have been abused or neglected. Two have tried to kill themselves in the past. They think they are "hard" but really they have their guards up with a tough outer shell.

(34,074 posts)My list would be equally impressive, albeit less dramatic. But all of it is accomplished between midnight and 4 am. I go home, sleep until around 10:00, and roll into work at 12-12:30. Then I work until ~4 AM the next morning. Seven days a week. (I've got at least 2 hours left before I head home - it may actually be an early night for me.)
Trump is lazy because he is lazy - NOT because he starts work at 12:30.
I'm sick of the prejudice against those of us whose body clocks on a different schedule. Late riser is not equal to stupid (saw that earlier today) or lazy (as this OP implies)
same hours
just different times
