Was it a "joke" or was it a diversion?

Donald Trump brazenly and illegally called for China to investigate the Bidens. Republicans, like Marco Rubio, were quick to call it a joke. He was just playing the media, they say.

No one was laughing. It wasn't a joke. It may have been a diversion?

The latest reports out of the Ukraine indicate that Rudy Giuliani was wheeling and dealing with the big oil men of Ukraine. He was trying to make a deal for himself and other Trump associates. There was money to be made. It's always "follow the money" with this crowd.

Rick Perry seems to have been brought in to be the "useful idiot". He could talk about natural gas as the corruption flowed all around him. He said he talked to almost everyone, including Il Duce and his ambassadors, and no one ever brought up the name of the Bidens?

If Donald Trump knew about Rudy's dealing, why didn't he stop it? Because Rudy was working for Donald? Or was he working for himself? Either way, it was very ripe corruption.

Rudy was using his role as a means of getting money probably off books because he's in the midst of a divorce.

and the Repugs should not be encouraging that kind of behavior. We know darn well what Trump said and meant. He's an idiot and a traitor. He needs to be put out of office. There are some things one just doesn't joke about.

Trump has a habit of spewing whatever the hell is floating around in that empty skull of his. I don't think this was an intentional diversion, as it just digs him in deeper than he already is. If it was, it was incredibly stupid.

The fact that the republicans are claiming "he was joking" only further incriminates him. "It was a joke" is their excuse every time one of them says something racist, homophobic, sexist, or otherwise offensive. Why would this be any different? They really think we are all Boo Boo the Fool.

The press should stop covering the helicopter shams and demand that Trump go back to holding daily press briefings like every other modern president has done.

Why does it have to be a joke or a diversion? Why assume he is now publicly outing himself as a traitor as a diversion?

There are more negotiations on the books with China this week. He has clearly let them know that it will be beneficial to their negotiating position if they show up to the table with dirt on his political rivals.

That is not a diversion. It’s a continuation of the greatest criminal act ever seen by a President. Remember, the President also feels we are in an economic war with China.

Trump highlights his continuous traitorous activity and people are wondering if it’s a joke or a diversion. Guy is a traitor.

He said that intentionally to stir up shit. With the added benefit that China would take him at his word and do what he said.

trump knows, when the American president speaks, the world listens and uses this to his advantage.

The Ukraine Incident is nothing more than a scheme amongst thieves to extract wealth from Ukraine for their offshore accounts. Of course trump knew and approved. His receipts would be due to him when he left the presidency.

Nor is it a joke to say you have an explosive device in an TSA line at an airport. Characterizing Trump’s request for China to dig up/manufacture dirt on a political opponent falls into the same category. Some crimes just aren’t funny under any circumstances.
