Besides being the right way to handle such a serious matter, having a few committees doing inquiries until some time in November keeps the evidence in the press. I’ve been wondering when the house would schedule an impeachment vote. Pelosi can always delay until after the Christmas break or hold members back. She must be gauging the politics in the senate and trying to time when the break happens.

Anyone with even basic observational skills and a bit of functional grey matter can see that Trump's a petty mean spirited narcissistic thug and as such he's not going to give up power and walk away anywhere near as peacefully as Nixon did.
