Lindsey Graham: Just spoke to Sen @ChrisVanHollen about situation in Syria.

Just spoke to Sen @ChrisVanHollen about situation in Syria.

We will introduce bipartisan sanctions against Turkey if they invade Syria and will call for their suspension from NATO if they attack Kurdish forces who assisted the U.S. in the destruction of the ISIS Caliphate.

Hope and expect sanctions against Turkey – if necessary – would be veto-proof.

This decision to abandon our Kurdish allies and turn Syria over to Russia, Iran, & Turkey will put every radical Islamist on steroids. Shot in the arm to the bad guys. Devastating for the good guys.

It passed 419-3 in the house, and 98-to-2 in the Senate. There is a lot of goodwill towards the kurds coming from currently serving elected officials in both parties. I'm rarely optimistic about anything anymore, but on this I am.

...and Trump/Putin's work is done. Jesus, always count on the GOP to make things worse.

The right move is to balance our interests in keeping Turkey as an ally against Russia, AND keeping the Kurds alive as our allies against ISIS...you know, like we were doing before Trump tweeted today.

He truly is an amoral monster.

families will have already been slaughtered. Republicans need to fucking wake up that Trump is making foreign policy as the mood strikes him. He's incompetent and dangerous and has to be removed from office. Maybe we can start a Go Fund Me page for Lindsey to purchase a first class golf membership at a non-Trump course.
