🔥 🔥 🔥 from Ben Sasse (about retreat):

“If the President sticks with this retreat, he needs to know that this bad decision will likely result in the slaughter of allies who fought with us, including women and children. I hope the President will listen to his generals and reconsider.

Sasse cont'd: "And before Turkey butchers innocent Kurds, Erdogan should carefully consider his privileged status as a NATO member. The American people don’t partner with genocidal regimes.”

Sasse is deluded right there. Trump is doing what he wants, and Ben is reverting to logic and geopolitics. Big disconnect.

The beltway press adores him, thinks he is some kind of maverick. Far from it, he's pathetic.

The GOP has cashed in what integrity it had in the name of defending Trump. He knows he can do whatever the fuck he wants. A couple folks will bleat, but they will NEVER hold him accountable.
