Judge stops NY from getting trumps taxes with a stay - NPR

I heard it on the radio that just as quickly as a judge orders 8 years of trumps taxes be released another judge stops it with a stay on the ruling.

This is what corruption looks like folks.

What gets me is that the harder the fight to keep them secret, the more it stands out like a sore thumb and becomes very suspect.

I mean gosh, this is on the national stage.

Reporters should continually ask him: "What is the real reason that you don't want America to see your tax returns?" At least let him conjure up something other than an audit now.

Obviously, the audit lie is now just a lie and holds no ground.

pending that appeal. Nothing moves quickly in the Federal court except orders like that. How long will the appeal take? Longer than you want it to. That's also more or less standard.

I'm not sure how this works. Can we get one without the other?

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube - so when someone makes a reasonable argument that the toothpaste being out of the tube will do irreparable harm - they are likely to be able to get a stay for the court to review the matter before allowing the toothpaste to be irreparably squeezed out.
