The GOP has got so much blood on their hands; guns, Puerto Rico, Journalists, Planned Parenthood, Black worshippers, Iraq, an up coming civil war, and I could go on for many more paragraphs. They DO NOT CARE! God approved deaths. That will wipe off the blood with trump tossed paper towels and continue to support murder in any form. The ONLY safe haven from GOP mirder is in somebody else's womb. Just make damn sure you never exit. Pro life my fucking ass.

Trump makes way for Turkey operation against Kurds in Syria

"Turkey will soon be moving forward with its long-planned operation into northern Syria," the statement said.

"The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation, and United States forces, having defeated the Isis territorial 'Caliphate', will no longer be in the immediate area."

The White House also said that Turkey would take over all responsibility for IS fighters captured by Kurdish forces over the past two years.

I.e., a claim that U.S. troops "will no longer be in the immediate area". One can only hope they got the hell out in time.

The Trump administration is facing a torrent of criticism after it unexpectedly announced a full U.S. troop withdrawal from northern Syria to allow a long-planned military operation by Turkey.
Security experts on the region and former U.S. officials are calling the decision reckless and a gift to America’s adversaries.
Kurdish officials have been calling the Trump administration’s decision a “betrayal.”

The Trump administration is facing a torrent of criticism Monday after it unexpectedly announced a full U.S. troop withdrawal from northern Syria to effectively allow a long-planned military operation by Turkey against Kurdish ground forces, who had battled to uproot ISIS.

“Turkey will soon be moving forward with its long-planned operation into Northern Syria,” a White House statement late Sunday said, noting that President Donald Trump had spoken to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan by phone. “The United States Armed Forces will not support or be involved in the operation, and United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial ‘Caliphate,’ will no longer be in the immediate area.”

Security experts on the region and former U.S. officials are calling the decision harmful and a gift to America’s adversaries, while some members of the Kurdish forces on the ground in Syria are calling it betrayal.

“The WH statement tonight on Syria after Trump spoke with Erdogan demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of anything happening on the ground,” Brett McGurk, the former U.S. special envoy to the global anti-IS coalition, said Monday on Twitter.

“Trump tonight after one call with a foreign leader provided a gift to Russia, Iran, and ISIS.”

Summary of Turkish conversation after meeting with Trump:
"Hey, did he really say go ahead and attack the Kurds?"
"Yeah, that's what he said, he said go ahead and invade, I'll pull US troops out of your way."
"Wow, I really was just asking him knowing that the US position would never be to abandon its allies and security, this is incredible."
"Do you think he even knew what he was agreeing to?"
"No, he's an idiot, but who cares, let's get to it right away before one of his people inform him of what an awful mistake he made. How fast can we get bombers in the air?"
"Tomorrow? Awesome, kill them all, we have explicit US approval to do so."

Mon Oct 7, 2019, 05:35 PM
Oct 2019

At that time we were providing weapons and support to the Kurds to defend themselves from the Iraq military that was fighting our then ally, Iran.
We didn't really care about the Kurds, but if we supported them, we could take Iraqi military forces away from the Iran front.
When Iraq and Iran made peace, the Kurds were now a problem.
The Kurds were in the whey.
So, we withdrew our support for the Kurds and the Iraq military moved in and slaughtered thousands of them.
This was Kissinger at his worse. He and Nixon used the Kurds and then abandoned them when they were no longer useful.
Now Trump has abandoned the Kurds and they will, once again, be slaughtered.
