TRUMP: "When I took over our military, we did not have ammunition. I was told by a top general, maybe the top of them all, 'Sir, I'm sorry sir, we don't have ammunition.' I said, I will never let that happen to another president."

But wow. This one's a whopper among whoppers.

I'm tempted to call my Trumpist brother-in-law and ask him if he really believes the U.S military was out of ammunition until Trump came along. But I'm scared to find out he really believes it.

When we travel domestically, guards at the Gates did indeed have plenty of ammunition when we presented IDs before 2017.

I guess Seal Team Six used blanks when they took out Osama bin Laden in 2012. The military did not have ammo in Iraq and Afghanistan prior to 2017.
