Will this be the first time we use Inherent Contempt to force a witness to comply? I sure would like to see it used very soon, either on a State Dept. official or the two lawyer-friends of Giuliani's who have no government protection against testifying.

arrest? I wonder if that's what the Democrats are hoping for? It would be great if right there at the capitol, a witness gets arrested, cuffed and stuffed on camera. Better if Trump does it than our people going after a guy for not showing.

He wants to testify and just flew here from Brussels to do so. Pompeo ordered him not to show up.

There were many good reasons to open an official impeachment inquiry when the time was right, but the notion that it would force Trump and his people to cooperate wasn't one of them.
