With Trump, we usually get the opposite. Make America Terrible Again and keep it that way, is a translation. Trump First, rather than his America First rhetoric.

His supporters drove the car off the lot and it fell apart on the way home and they are still gushing about what a great guy the salesman was and the fantastic deal they got.

America is still great. The country has some problems, but it is still great.

We have a loveless president who shows callous disregard for so many of the citizens of this country.
He shows callous disregard for the poor and the sick.
For people of color...anyone who is not white.
For women who stand up for their reproductive rights...strong women in general.
For religious and ethnic minorities.
For our farmers.
For our men and women in the military.
For anyone who stands up to him in any way.
And so many other groups that it's easier to list the people he doesn't treat in this fashion.

He caters to his base (white supremacists, neo-nazis, KKK, and other assorted racists and hate groups) because he needs them to prop him up and support his callous disregard for the rest of the nation.

In fact, there is only one person Trump truly loves...himself.

Love brings people together, Hate drives them apart.
Love will build a nation up, Hate will tear it down.

A loveless man can't possibly make a nation great, but it can destroy it.
