I know some people, some of these people may or may not be on sites such as Yahoo Answers, I am involved in a way though and I have been for a while, so I wanted to ask what the atmosphere was like, and these were some of the responses I got (No names though)...
"I keep pushing the envelope, I'm like a combination of Creed and Dwight from the Office at this point. Occasionally somebody outs me, but by and large it's full of suckers still."
"Sometimes I don't have material for the day, so I just paste stuff verbatim from Concerned Women for America or that guy who said he did some research on the internet and said the Girl Scouts were the tactical arm of Planned Parenthood (That would be Rob Morris (R-Ft. Wayne) who got his research from WorldNetDaily by the way) and everybody calls me a troll. And I'm like 'Really?!'"
"I don't know whether to laugh or cry now when people agree with me when I bring up New Black Panthers coming to take your daughters, death panels doing door to door raids doing end-of-life checks, or even George Soros using secret assassins."
"I think I got a rise out of people when I said that OWS recruits people by putting drugs in peoples drinks. I didn't tell people though that I ripped the statement straight from a Gaddafi speech."
"It's so easy that anyone with a keyboard can do it."

(2,514 posts)i quit smoking a few years ago.. and often shared my experience, when someone asked...like a lot of folks, i kind of got used to racking up points... while i rarely contributed to the politics section.. i would often go there to vote to score a few points...crazy place during that time..
the irony is that i can no longer post on yahoo answers... got busted for solicitation, by the folks that were pushing e-cigarettes at the time.. the irony...lol
since that time i have found a lot friends here..

(5,105 posts)--whether cut & pastes of unbelievably insane Conservative True Christian orgs' rantings and demands or trying to come up with logical conclusions to biblical stories and commands. Does it work? Yes.
It was a great hobby and did result in some haters and low-infos reevaluating their kneejerk positions.
I haven't done it in years, as it became just too easy, and finally, depressing. Life imitates the art of parody these days.

(19,458 posts)notice the "don't have my material for the day." I'm noticing an avalanche of paid trolls on yahoo and the other news sites since last month. I mean they are outnumbering everyone 10 to 1 now, when earlier this year miraculously, there were very few pushing the Rw side.
Most of them have names like PaulW or BobS which is odd for yahoo names, usually it's "megansmommy" or "h8beets2"

(101,346 posts)Is it just they want someone to react to them, in any way possible? Since some of them are repeating what real right wing nutters are saying, do they like the idea of making it seem like there are more nutters than there really are? If so, is that because they just want to fool anyone they can, any way, or is it that they want the right wing to seem more powerful than it really is - to 'shift the window' of what appears 'average' for an American?
