I would assume it would be rather immediate after any formalities are taken care of, and if he doesn't chain himself to the desk and call for the Imperial Guard.

What I am more concerned about is how long the process could take. The Clinton impeachment took about five-months.

We need this pronto. It is far too important and far different from that one.

and since we haven't done that yet, there is no precedent.

Would need a couple extra soldiers to carry BLOTUS out though.

If convicted in the Senate(won't happen), Trump would have to vacate the White House as soon as possible.

Would be given a reasonable, though short, time to remove their personal items. I don't think they would be allowed to stay in the building, unless permitted by the new President. They would probably be allowed to stay in other government quarters in DC until they move to a private residence.

The convicted would cease to be President immediately after the vote is concluded.

Then as they are marched off the grounds, a waiting mob would be there to greet them.

They would cease being a Federal elected official at that moment, and would leave ASAP, as Nixon did.

Kamala Harris will ask Rudy G.."Is that you talking to Laura Ingraham where you showed your cell phone saying you had all the messages from the State Department? To which Rudy pleads the 5th.

Sorry Rudy! You already incriminated yourself in the Ukraine story. No Attorney-Client privilege prevails here because there is no need for Legal Counsel.

And at the end of the vote, the Chief Justice would swear him in as president. It would be very quick and Trump would be out before he knew what hit him.

Nixon left before the resignation became effective. His resignation occurred while he was in the air.

One of the more dramatic aspects of that very dramatic day was the moment in which Nixon's pilot informed Missouri Air Traffic Control that the flight's call sign changed from Air Force One to SAM 27000 because Gerald Ford had been sworn in and the flight no longer carried the Commander-in-Chief.

It happens when the new President is being sworn in.

Given that now Presidence Mike Pence rode his coat tails to power, the transition would probably be a smooth one and Trump would probably be on the plane to New York before the ink dried on the pardon.
