Done it twice now at other places and both cashiers clearly didn't get 'the joke' and in fact appeared to not even be familiar with the word, and asked me how to spell it ... like I was speaking a foreign language.

most folks are on board anyway. I truly don't know a single soul that is for orange turd, but guess that's the company I keep. And I'm AA so don't have to worry about my family. It always amazes me to hear (non AA) friends talk about their parents and family members who are for Trump and the distress it causes. Being AA, at least I don't have to deal with that dynamic!
