(5,542 posts)Ultimately, it is very possible that this could end up getting Turkey kicked out of NATO. At the very least, it will become a serious internal squabble.
And once again, the undermining of NATO becomes part of the narrative.
In real terms, I am not sure how much it matters. But I think having a majority muslim member in NATO is helpful to being a world player rather than just representing the Euro-White-Christian Countries.
