I just spoke to a distraught US Special Forces soldier who is among the 1000 or so US troops in Syria tonight who is serving alongside the SDF Kurdish forces. It was one of the hardest phone calls I have ever taken.

He was one of the few reporters during the god awful, immoral destruction of Iraq that really was "in country". In terms of losing the military, I have no stats to back that up or deny it. However, I wonder how many still voted for him after insulting McCain, Gold Star families and saying he knows more than the generals along with a whole lot more.

But I think you'll find a lot of die-hard Trump supporters in the military, alone with more than a few white supremacists.

result in a higher percentage of survivalists, white supremacists, and other right wingers who have an obsession with authoritarian government and weapons than would be found in a cross-section fo the population at large.
