The White House Obscenity is misusing two minutes of Queen's "We Will Rock You" for new video

There's no text with this, no snippets of speeches, just scenes of the MAGAt-in-Chief and lots of adoring mindless MAGAts, with Trump helping himself to one of the greatest rock songs of all time, probably without permission:

This is what you should think of when you hear that song:

I can't fathom it. Maybe one day she will take the ad apart, lie by lie, rendering it useless while MSNBC takes the $$$$.

Queen rocks him and tells him he does not have permission to steal their song for his illegal needs.

but Youtube will usually pull your vid pretty quick once someone raises a copyright claim. I would have to assume Twitter operates similarly.

Their license frequently covers use of the licensed songs by presenters. Beyond that, individual licenses are relative cheap - and go the three entities above (so music can be licensed by people the artists would prefer not use their material).

As to social media there are two things going on covering someone else's song generally requires a license, but compliance is pretty low - and most people in the industry ignore most flattering use of their songs. This isn't precisely the same thing, but it's simlar. BUT - the DMCA grants social media a Sophie's choice, of sorts. Once they receive a take-down notice, they must either choose to be all-in with the infringer (and accept ultimate liability if the video is found to be infringing) OR take down the alleged infringing conent. Most make the latter choice, because the cost of sticking up for the user can be significant.

Trump picked the wrong man to fuck with cuz he wrote that song. You pay Royalties to Queen to use that song at sporting events.

There should be a law that if someone uses your image/intellectual property without your permission, then you can use theirs to promote any cause you wish.

don't understand they have picked songs with lyrics that point out their own flaws and make them look stupid. Invariably, they use it without permission and the artists do not let them get away with it unchallenged. Springsteen and REM spring to mind...

No way Queen is okay with this. Not a chance. Quick websearch, and holy cow. Trump already pulled this crap in 2016. Queen didn't approve then; that can't have changed. They know this, but Trump and his people have no respect for the artists and just do what they want anyway. *sigh*
