Strategically, when would be the best time to file Articles of Impeachment?

Because it is political, it would be for political effect.

Would it be before Thanksgiving? Or New Years? Or somewhere in between? Or some time after New Years?

I'm sure given those extra days, President Tweet will find another way to obstruct justice. Because that is what he does. He has that small criminal gene in his DNA.

Personally, I think they should file Articles of Impeachment just after New Years break. In my opinion, they should give the nation the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to think about it. Hopefully, people will see that it has to be done.

Either way, it has to be done.

Probably won't get to 70%. If we wait too long, support could wane. Strike while it's on the upswing Garrett78 Oct 2019 #10

Its probably a good thing if we manage to drive the public support for impeachment and removal well about the 51% it currently sits at.
Once we get in say, they 70 % range, there will be no downside for the republican senators to vote to convict. They might just well do it.

However it happens, I think it's probably important to get testimony from at least one whistleblower.

But there's plenty to impeach now.

Dems just have to keep control of the narrative and strike while support for impeachment is on the upswing.

So if the GOP Senate passes on impeachment. It can be a consideration for any dissidents at their convention to challenge him on. Do we really want to nominate an impeached president at the head of the ticket? Also let them consider in the back of their mind at the convention. Do I want to run with this guy at the head of my ticket?...The democrats at that point could run against any Republican as if he was just as bad as Trump. Promise them we will if he is re-nominated.
