MICHAEL PILLSBURY: I am sorry to say it looks like the Chinese are looking at the impeachment issue as a weakening of President Trump. I think this is a mistake, but I was in Beijing just a little over a week ago and they were already making comments about as tough as Trump is, as much as they respect him in China, they now think that Nancy Pelosi is a factor in the China trade talks.

In a way, it's -- the Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy, if you want to put it that way.

They would discuss ICBM warheads sooner than talk about what Hunter Biden was doing in China with Vice President Biden. That's a big area now where the Chinese know they don't want any American probe into what happened with Hunter Biden.
