National polls dont mean much to them. Solid red state Senators seemingly will never have to make a move. The ones in blue and purple states will have to pay attention.

Republicans wont act unless there are signs it will hurt them politically.

supporters wield great power in a primary. Also national polls do not reflect red states realities in terms of Trump support. State by state polls would be interesting.
