due to his erratic statements and their antipathy towards a guy who tied to burn every single FBI official save his NYC cronies. They intercepted his dialogue and had agents waiting at the airport. They easily could have arrested them that night and not the next day but hey, someone at the FBI told them to await their almost clean escape in order to make them look even worse to a trial judge.

that we still have a well-functioning FBI, and that the DOJ prosecutors in various locales are still pursuing cases independently of Trump, Barr, Giuliani & Co.
