Everyday another crime is exposed. More and more people are going to turn and start talking. These two indictments today are just the beginning. A lot of people are going to go to prison before this is over.

(60,010 posts)Trump's people and Barr and some Russian guys, all meeting in Italy...
then Barr going to SDNY, in person, 2 days ago, after the Biden story led to impeachment charges
Now 2 of Rudy's clients in the Biden story have been arrested by Barr.
2 others are indicted, I haven't heard of any arrests.
I very much doubt Barr will let the House question the 2 in jail, and I very much suspect that once on bail, these guys will disappear, very much to the supposed chagrin of trump/Barr.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if she got her own reality show, like the Trump-humping Kardashians, after her dad leaves office.
Either through pardons, or lawyers, he'll continue on. He'll probably start his own network Trump TV, where he and Miller, Bannon, and others can have a platform. Removing him from office via impeachment is one thing. Convicting him of a crime is another. Even after he is out of office, no matter how that happens, there is a lot of resistance at the highest levels, irrespective of party affiliation, to stain the Republic with a protracted criminal prosecution of a former President. "Looking forward" is the preferred route.
Is Cheney in prison for leaking a CIA operative, or authorizing torture? Or is Halliburton doing even better, when it was on the verge of collapse when he became VP, and got a flood of money with no-bid contracts in Iraq?
Is Rove in prison for any shinanigans he was up to?. Rice? Rumsfeld?
G. W. Bush for lying us into a war where millions died, and thousands of US casualties? Or is he laughing it up with Ellen?
Sorry, but I just think these kinds of hopeful projections only lead to A. a more complacent Resistance effort. and B. a much more bitter disappointment when he waddles out of Washington still tweeting with his cult intact.
edited to add: I really hope I am proved wrong. I will be dancing in streets with everyone else if I can watch his sorry ass hauled off to jail. But I have to hold those hopes and emotions in check until then. Nixon was pardoned, Those in the Reagan era Iran-Contra conspiracy like Caspar Weinberger were pardoned by Bush Sr, Scooter Libby, Cheney's fall guy, was set free by Trump.
