Trump says he hopes he can 'mediate' between Turkey and the Kurds

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday he hopes he can mediate between Turkey and the Kurds following Turkey's assault against Kurdish forces in northeast Syria.

Trump, who pulled US troops out of the area before the Turkish attack, said on Twitter that the United States had three options. "We have one of three choices: Send in thousands of troops and win Militarily, hit Turkey very hard Financially and with Sanctions, or mediate a deal between Turkey and the Kurds!" Trump said.

"I hope we can mediate," Trump said when asked about the options by reporters at the White House. "Turkey knows where I stand," he said.

"We are going to possibly do something very, very tough with respect to sanctions and other financial things," Trump said without elaborating.

I mean, why would the Kurds have any reason but to place their complete trust and utter confidence in whatever Trump says or proposes?

3. What a fool. Does he really think that the Kurds will see him as an unbiased mediator?

He couldn't mediate his way out of a paper bag and his mediation skills will probably lead to total war in the ME.

he fucks something up then goes back in to fix his fuck up, then calls himself the hero.

but here is the rub, he never actually "fixes" anything. he just says some bullshit that the media eats up and exploits as true while benedict donald kicks the bodies under the rug.

his construction business. This is just another version of stiff the contractor, and then offer him some ridiculously low amount that he'll be desperate enough to accept. Only this time it's Let Turkey kill off a bunch of Kurds and then get them to settle for some ridiculously bad peace deal.
